Christmas Tree Brownies

Easy to bake Brownies, decorated with a great festive twist. A great home Christmas Bake

Ingredients

  • 150 gms Dark Chocolate
  • 130 gms Butter and Baking Spread
  • 220 gms Caster Sugar
  • 130 gms Plain Flour
  • 0.5 tspn Baking Powder
  • 2 Eggs
  • 150-200 gms Buttercream or frosting coloured dark green
  • Sprinkles and Sweets to Decorate

Instructions

  1. Grease and line an 8" Round Tin

  2. Pre-heat your oven to 160-170c Fan, 180c, Gas Mark 3

  3. Break the chocolate into a large bowl and add the baking spread

  4. In the microwave melt the chocolate and baking spread together in 20 seconds bursts (so the chocolate doesn't burn)

  5. When the chocolate and baking butter is melted, stir until well combined

  6. Add the caster sugar and mix through

  7. Next add the flour and baking powder and stit until well mixed

  8. Lastly, add the eggs and mix thoroughly

  9. Pour into the tin and bake for 30-35 minutes. If you like your Brownies more gooey reduce the baking time by 5 minutes

  10. Once baked remove from the oven and allow to cool fully in the tin

  11. When cool, turn out and remove the baking parchment

  12. Cut into 6 or 8 wedges

  13. Pipe or smooth the green buttercream onto each wedge and use the sprinkles and sweets to decorate as Christmas Trees
