• No Regrets Oreo Brownies

Regrets….I’ve had a few…..but then again too few to mention…… But I’m going to mention them anyway, so here they are: – I regret the second bubble perm of the eighties (the first one should have been a lesson) – I regret not buying a winning Roll-over Lottery ticket – I regret not going to performing arts college and becoming Ruthie Henshall – I regret being too young to see The Smiths live – I regret not living on a farm (or in a beach house) so I can spend all day mooching about in the great outdoors with my lovely dogs – I regret not embracing the sparkly side…

  • Your Own Individual Cake in Cup

Do you ever get those moments when you NEED a cake? I do! At these times, mass produced, shop bought cakes just wont do. I’m talking about a NEED for fresh, out of the oven, home-baked cake!!! But, mixing up a batch of cupcakes or a Victoria sponge would be too much, and once the NEED for cake has been satisfied you’re left with too much cake which you’re either forced to eat or give away. Making too much isn’t such a bad thing, excess cake is never a bad thing, but with this small recipe you’ll have just the right amount of cake AND as a bonus it doesn’t…

  • Cookie Dough…..why bother baking it?

What is THE hardest thing for you about baking sweet things? I personally think it’s actually getting the mixture to the oven……..and I mean without dipping my fingers, spoon or face in the mix and eating it all before doing anything productive with it!   Every child asks to ‘lick the bowl’, and quite frankly, I believe, every adult would if it didn’t make you sound 3 years old! I predict over 95% of people who bake dip their finger to ‘test’ the mix. TEST???? Yeah…..you mean enjoy the gooey naughtyness that is raw cake or cookie mix! ‘Technically’ cake mix is baaaaad – it contains raw eggs – ’nuff…
